Adam has a passion for finding innovate ways to prevent, cure, and treat infectious diseases. He focuses on viral pathogens, the molecular mechanisms of their pathogenesis, and the intracellular innate immune responses to infection.
He completed his MPH at UC Berkeley in Infectious Diseases and Vaccinology his thesis is titled: “Serotyping Clinically Relevant Strains of Salmonella Enterica by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy and Modular Artificial Neural Networks”. He also received his PhD from UC Berkeley in Comparative Biochemistry. His dissertation is titled: “Genome-Wide Screen and Phenotypic Analysis of a Kaposi Sarcoma-Associated Herpesvirus Genome With Insights into Capsid Maturation”.
In his spare time Adam enjoys recreational outdoor actives, reading non-fiction, and talking about Economics.
